These California wraps are a low-cal and healthy way to use up leftover turkey.
It’s always a challenge finding fresh ways to enliven leftovers. This low-cal recipe will be sure to trick your tastebuds into thinking it’s not turkey again.
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 small onion, sliced
- ½ cup diced turkey
- 1 tsp Club House Indian Masala spice
- 1 whole wheat pita pocket
- 1 tsp hummus
- ½ tomato, sliced
- 3 or 4 slices avocado
- 2 lettuce leaves
- A sprinkle of hot sauce
Preparation
- Heat the oil in a skillet on medium-high heat.
- Fry the onion until transparent.
- Add the turkey and sprinkle on the spice and sautee for about a minute.
- Spread the hummus on the pita pocket.
- Add the turkey mixture.
- Sprinkle with hot sauce.
- Top with sliced tomato, avocado and lettuce.
Serves 1.
