Distance runners around the world annually expect small injuries to occur periodically throughout the year.

One of the main factors in causing nagging injuries to dedicated runners is not using the proper pose technique from the early stages in there running careers. Contrary to popular belief, of thousands of people, distance running can still be a lifelong sport for properly instructed athletes. To be able to focus on the proper pose, a runner needs to focus on multiple aspects, not just physically, but mentally and spiritually as well.

At the initial phases of Chi Running, you may get some weird and confused looks from other traditional distance runners. In Chi Running, a runner has to keep focused on lengthening the spine and not leaning too far forward. They must also keep a strict leveled pelvic bone, which if you have not practiced before can feel amazingly awkward at first, so be patient and let the form come to you. The movement requires an athlete to stay behind their center of gravity, which means you do not kick out and shift the pelvic bone forward.
