Good enough for Sports Illustrated, Lindsey Vonn makes the cut for Fitlode’s Sexiest Athlete.

Often during the Olympics, the novice fan discovers truly amazing athletes that they had never been exposed to before. Then there are the moments when viewers discover Olympian athletes that not only capture their attention because of their agility and skills but also for their beauty.

This usually sparks a short-lived frenzy during the extent of the games. Lindsey Vonn was the catalyst for this year’s lustful obsession and for good reason. Lindsey not only stopped our hearts when she dealt with the anguish of her potentially Olympic-ending injury, but everyone began to take serious notice of her vivacious smile and her statuesque body, even though it was covered up under that not-so-flattering snowsuit.

In the end, her story was something  reminiscent of a Hollywood screenplay. She fought through her injury and became the first American woman to win a gold medal in the downhill skiing competition.
